Born in
Scotland in 1868, Charles Rennie Mackintosh was a giant in
the arts and crafts movement. He attended classes at
the Glasgow School of Art from 1896-1909 and achieved an
international reputation for his craftwork, furniture, and
unorthodox posters. The 2011 Charles Rennie Mackintosh
calendar includes many of his successful works.
Mackintosh even designed four tea rooms in Glasgow.
By the turn of the century, he was focused on watercolors,
some of which can be seen in the Charles Rennie Mackintosh
2011 calendars. He passed away in 1928 in London,
England. |
