C.M. Russell 2008 Calendars

One of the best painters of the American West was Charles Marion Russell.  He lived from 1864 thru 1926 and in his lifetime, he created over 2,000 paintings of the western part of America.  These 2008 C.M. Russell calendars show you some of the best paintings that he created.  His art is so valuable and in demand that a 1918 painting that he did recently sold for over $5 million.  He also has a mural located in Helena, Montana of Lewis and Clark meeting the Indians.  C.M. Russell spent much of his adult life in Montana and was an icon in the early 1920's.  This 2008 calendar doesn't show it, but C.M. Russell was such a legend in those parts that children were allowed to leave school to attend his funeral when he died.
