A great
20th century artist who lived from 1882 - 1967 was Edward
Hopper. The American was born in New York State and
went to school there as a young man. One of his big
breaks was having an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art
in New York City in the early 1930's. The 2013 Edward
Hopper calendars bring many of his pieces from the 1920's
and 1930's to these pages. Many of Edward Hopper's
paintings represent loneliness, often picturing streets with
no people on them. Oftentimes, his paintings look like
abandoned areas, devoid of humans and activity. The
2013 calendars by Hopper show this unique style. |
