Maxfield Parrish 2010 Calendars

The American painter Maxfield Parrish was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in July of 1870.  He rose to prominence after attending art school in Pennsylvania in the late 1800's.  From there, Maxfield had a number of commissions for magazines and other publications throughout the 1910's and 1920's.  The 2010 Maxfield Parrish calendar demonstrates how he combines the fantasy world with the real one.  He may draw an illustration of a man on a swing with a backdrop of a mythical castle.  Some of the illustrations in this 2010 Parrish calendar are highly sought after as the original.  Maxfield Parrish passed away in 1966, but his legacy lives on to this day.
