Claude Monet 2011 Calendars

Born in Paris, but raised in Normandy, Oscar Claude Monet grew up to be one of the great French Impressionism painters of the nineteenth century.  He was born in 1840 and lived until 1926.  In that span, he created dozens of exquisite paintings that still sought after today.  The 2011 Claude Monet calendars feature some of his best work on the covers alone.  The cover on the left 2011 Monet calendar shows his Water Lillies painting.  He has also painted Impression, Sunrise in the early 1870's.  As a testament to his immense popularity, one of Claude Monet's paintings recently sold for $20 million.  There are a small number of people that are willing to pay a lot of money for art like this.
