Perhaps
the greatest illustrator of the twentieth century was Norman
Rockwell. Born in 1894, Norman Rockwell went on to
enormous success with The Saturday Evening Post. For
forty years, Norman Rockwell's illustrations graced the
cover of The Saturday Evening Post. It helped make him
famous in America. The 2009 Norman Rockwell calendars
select some of his many submissions to the magazine and
combine them in one amazing product. As a testament to
his fame and celebrity status, Norman Rockwell was named the
Greatest Living American in 1957. In addition to these
2009 calendars, there is a Norman Rockwell Museum in
Stockbridge, Massachusetts that houses much of his art. |
