An incredible stained glass artist was the American Louis Comfort Tiffany.  He was born on the east coast in 1848 as the son of the founder of the jewelry store Tiffany's.  It wasn't until he was in his late 30's that Louis became interested in created stained glass and glassmaking.  The 2013 Louis Comfort Tiffany calendars put together many of his amazing creations over the late 19th century and early 20th century.  He had four children with his first wife until she died in 1884.  He then married again in 1886 and had four more children.  Louis Comfort Tiffany was married to his second wife for nearly fifty years.  The 2013 calendars reflect his unending work with glass.  Tiffany died in 1933 in New York.
