Vermeer 2009 Calendars

This artist dates back to the 17th century, but Johannes Vermeer has stood the test of time.  He was born in 1632   His father died when he was twenty and Vermeer married at twenty-one.  Johannes Vermeer went on to have eleven children.  At the same time of his marriage, he registered as a master painter, having honed the skill since he was a young boy.  The 2009 Vermeer calendars show his work nearly 400 years after the fact, proving a true testament to the paintings he created.  Unfortunately, in the late 1600's, the art market fell on rough times and Johannes Vermeer ran out of money.  He was clearly not selling 2009 Vermeer calendars just yet.  He died in 1675 a broke man.  He left his family with much debt.
