Pictured are
two Michigan calendars for 2013
from our United States scenic travel category.
Michigan is the only state in the country that is separated into two
parts, the upper peninsula and the lower. The 2013 Michigan calendars
features both areas. |
Michigan 2013 Calendars
|
The
Midwestern state of Michigan comprises both the Lower
Peninsula and the Upper Peninsula (UP). The separation
is unique to the state, but the sides are connected by a
five mile bridge at the closest point. The 2013
Michigan calendars take you into both areas to give you
pictures of lighthouses and lakefront views. The
Mackinac bridge was only completed in 1957 after years of
struggle. Previously, only ferries could get you
across from lower to upper. The Michigan 2013
calendars are far removed from city life, showing you what
the quiet area look like. Only three percent of the
population lives in the UP, despite the fact that it is one
third of the land mass. Much of the population of
Michigan is centered around the Detroit area. |
