champions in 1914, 1944, and 1945. The 2013 Army calendar
checks on their battle with Notre Dame.
The
Black Knights (or "Cadets") football team was established in
1890 and was a dominant force in college football in the
early twentieth century. The squad won the national
championship in 1914 and they boast three Heisman trophy
winners. The 2013 Army football calendar looks at
those vintage years, with rivalries against Notre Dame and
Navy. The Army/Navy contest dates back to 1890 where
the game was played at West Point, New York. The Army
Black Knights 2013 calendar includes the schedule for the
upcoming season. They are now led by Rich Ellerson,
who will begin his first season as the head ball coach in
2009. Army plays their home games at Michie Stadium on
the campus of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point.
