The Big
Green, not to be confused with Cornell's Big Red, is the
team name for Dartmouth College's football squad. They
won the national championship in 1925 with an undefeated
record under the direction of Jesse Hawley. The 2013
Dartmouth Big Green calendar checks out the dominant team
from the early part of the 20th century. In the first
nine years of the 1900's, they won 58 games and lost only
nine. Cornell has been one of their main opponents
over the years and that is the focus of the Dartmouth Big
Green 2013 calendar. Part of the Ivy League since
1958, Dartmouth began in the Triangular Football Conference
in 1888. In the mid-1930's, the Big Green won 22
consecutive games yet declined an invitation to the
prestigious Rose Bowl. |
