The
board game that has sold over one hundred million sets
across the globe is Scrabble. Alfred Mosher Butts
invented the game back in 1938 and it was actually turned
into an NBC television game show in 1984. The 2013
Scrabble calendar gives you a mini-match every day of the
year. The game has evolved into tournament play, with
a National and World Scrabble Championship being held in a
variety of locations. Joe Edley, the only three-time
winner of the National Championship, helps challenge the
player in this Scrabble 2013 calendar. The current
champion is Jim Kramer, who won in Phoenix in 2006.
The next Scrabble championship will be held in Orlando,
Florida from July 26-29th, 2008. |
