Yiddish 2013 Calendars
|
Spoken
around the globe, the High German language of Yiddish
originates from Ashkenazi Jewish people. Only 1.7
million currently speak the language, although there had
been as many as 12 million back in the early 1940's.
Many of the current speakers reside in the United States and
Israel. The 2013 Yiddish calendar teaches a different
phrase every day to help you learn. It uses a Hebrew
based alphabet and developed during the tenth century.
Yiddish is also officially recognized as a minority language
in Sweden. The Yiddish 2013 calendar will also help
with pronounciation, as some words and phrases can be
difficult. In the United States, most Yiddish speakers
are located in New York and the Northeast portion of the
country. |
