Shown are two Alaska calendars for 2013 from our northern American states category.  The great state of Alaska is not part of the lower 48.  It sits north of Washington and shares a border with Canada.  The 2013 Alaska calendars feature the wilderness.

Alaska 2013 Calendars

The second to last state to join the United States was Alaska in 1959.  It is situated to the northwest of Canada, over a thousand miles to the north-northwest of Washington state.  Alaska boasts the most amount of land, but the least amount of people.  These 2013 Alaska calendars show the vast wilderness of the land and include snowcapped mountains and beautiful streams.  The climate in the state is exceptionally cold, which has prevented more people from living there.  Alaska recently made headlines for their 'Bridge to Nowhere".  It was an extremely expensive project that would build a bridge to an area where few people live.  The 2013 Alaska calendars do not show that bridge, but they do feature areas that are hard to get to.  Everyone should visit this state at least once in their lifetime.
