Beijing, China 2011 Calendars
|
Site of
the 2008 Summer Olympics, the city of Beijing is gearing up
to play host to athletes from more than 150 countries.
The capital of China is home to 17.4 million residents,
which only makes it the second largest next to Shanghai.
Inside the 2011 Beijing calendar is history, architecture,
and culture all rolled up into one. The building
structures, some of which have been around for centuries,
are like nothing you'll ever see in the western world.
The Temple of Heaven adorns the cover of the Beijing 2011
calendar. It is arguably the most recognizable
landmark in the entire country. The Temple of Heaven
is located in southeastern Beijing in the Xuanwu District. |
