from our scenic places category.
The tourist spot is actually a steep gorge located in Arizona
created by the Colorado River over millions of years. The 2011 Grand Canyon
calendar highlights the tranquility. |
Grand Canyon 2011 Calendars
|
One of
the largest tourist attractions in the United States is a
277 mile long gorge in the State of Arizona called the Grand
Canyon. A mile deep and a width of four to eighteen
feet, it is one of the oldest national parks in the nation.
The 2011 Grand Canyon National Park calendar includes
waterfalls, sunsets, and snow-capped formations.
Visitors to the national park would travel to the northwest
corner of Arizona near the Utah and Nevada border. The
Grand Canyon 2011 calendar illustrates that the national
park is much more than just the gorge of the Colorado River
itself. Much of the terrain in the Grand Canyon is
remote and rugged, but it allows for landscapes that are
virtually untouched by humans. It makes for some
breathtaking views. |
