Jim
Henson's creation of The Muppets have set the standard in
American culture. The term came from combining the
words puppets and marionettes, which was what these
characters were like. From there, they came alive.
In the 2008 Muppets calendars, you'll find all the
characters you love, from Miss Piggy to Kermit to some of
the lesser known ones. The Muppet movie was made in
1979 and a series of films followed that. Jim Henson
passed away in 1990, but his Muppets characters have become
famous. Kermit the Frog continues to make appearances,
not only in this calendar, but on TV shows and sitcoms.
He even showed up for Extreme Makeover, Home Edition. |
