This print by Jim Daly shows our national pastime at its finest; two young boys playing baseball with a close play at the plate.
The artist, Jim Daly, is originally from Oklahoma, but went
to school in Los Angeles to study art. His work is
featured in many different museums and private collections.
His paintings have a general theme of remembering the old
days when times were simple and all you had to worry about
was the play at the plate to win the ball game. He
often paints young children as they go through everyday
life, from riding a scooter to playing with a horse. |
