In
1982, Michael Jordan was a freshman at the University of
North Carolina. He was heavily recruited but was
relatively unknown to the rest of the country.
However, March Madness rolled around and the men's
basketball team made it all the way to the final, which is
watched by many. He started to become a household name
with this shot. This jumper won the title for the North Carolina Tar Heels.
It was a last second shot that defeated the Georgetown Hoyas.
In the photo, you can see him in mid-air as the ball is
about to be released from his hand. The opposing
players are standing around watching the shot. |
