The tropical shoreline on this poster comes alive as you can see the sun setting over the ocean with a beautiful palm tree pushing out from the shore. The Maldives islands, which is seen above, is not often frequented by vacationers in North America. It is, however, a popular destination for Europeans. The location is such that it would take quite a long time to get there from the U.S. The islands are off the south-western coast of India and to the east of Africa. Because of its' location, it was hard-hit by the tsunami that occurred on December 26, 2004. The entire country was flooded and 75 people died. |
