Below is a poster or sports photo of the 2004 Boston Red Sox ALCS Championship celebration after defeating the evil New York Yankees. The 2004
Big Papi Boston Red Sox are pictured here in this poster celebrating their victory of the American League. |
2004 David Ortiz Home Run - ALCS Posters
After being down three games to zero in the ALCS to the best team money can buy, the New York Yankees, many in Boston Red Sox Nation thought 2004 would be like all the rest in the last 86 years; pain and waiting until the following year. However, the 2004 Red Sox, the team of self-proclaimed idiots battled back all the way to win four straight games and win a trip to the World Series. The Sox later swept the St. Louis Cardinals to win their first World Series title in 86 years. It marked the only time in baseball history that a team had choked a 3-0 series lead. Many believe that this victory over the Yanks was even sweeter than winning the World Series. Here the Boston Red Sox are seen celebrating the final out of the Championship Series.
