2004 Boston Red Sox World Series Posters
The four game sweep by the Boston Red Sox over the St. Louis Cardinals will always be remembered as the first championship for the Sox in 86 years. It also broke the curse of the Bambino. When Babe Ruth was sold to the Yankees by the ownership of the Red Sox in 1920. However, this should also be remembered as an un-four-gettable, dominating effort by Boston as St. Louis put up little resistance and were swept out of the World Series. The first two games of the series were at Fenway and despite a glut of errors, the Red Sox won them both. They went to St. Louis, expecting a fight, but they won both of the games there as well to win the title.
