Below is a baseball poster of David Ortiz's walk-off home run in game 3 of the 2004 ALDS to win the game and the series. This David Ortiz poster shows the
whole Red Sox team celebrating the hit. Big Papi, as he is
affectionately called, is the big hero. |

With two outs in the bottom of the 10th inning of Game 3 of
the Divisional playoff series between the Red Sox and the
Angels, David Ortiz crushed a two-run homer to win the game
and the series in walk-off style. It gave the Sox a
sweep over the Angels and a trip to the ALCS to face the
Evil Empire. It was in the ALCS that David Ortiz became even more of a
clutch hitter, as he hit a walk off homer to win game 4 in
extra innings and got the game winning hit again the next
night to win game 5. It was those incredible hits that
helped the Sox beat the Angels, then the Yankees, and then
the Cardinals to win the World Series. David Ortiz is
now considered one of the best hitters in Major League
Baseball. |
