The Grand Prix of Monaco in Monte Carlo in 1937 is a Formula 1 race that is 78 laps around the city. In 1937, Manfred von Brauchitsch won the race in a Mercedes Benz.
In 2005, the winner was Kimi Raikkonen, also in a Mercedes.
It is a street race around the cities of Monte Carlo and La
Condamine. Monaco is the second smallest country in the
world and sits on the southeast corner of France overlooking
the Mediterranean Sea. Formula 1 races within streets
have become extremely rare, as the speeds at which cars now
travel make it very dangerous for the driver and the fans. |
