Gone With the Wind was made in 1939 and considered one of the most popular films of all time. Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh were the main characters in this film. Gable played Rhett Butler and Leigh played Scarlett O'Hara. The Gone With the Wind poster above shows them in a passionate embrace. The movie was about a romance in the war torn Atlanta during the Civil War in the 1860's. On the day the Civil War starts, Scarlett is at a party and is begging the man she is in love with to take her instead of marrying some other woman. He chooses to marry the other girl.
