Home to the Ohio State Buckeyes of the Big Ten Conference, 'The Horseshoe', is one of the largest college football stadiums in the country. Built in 1922, it's seating capacity is now up to 101,568 and is the largest stadium in Ohio.
When concerts are played there, the capacity grows to
110,000. The original seating capacity when
constructed was merely 63,000, which was actually an
enormous number back in those days. It grew to 85,000
over the years with minor renovations. It wasn't until
1999 that the stadium underwent a huge overhaul to grow it
to over 100,000 seats. They also made high end seats,
such as luxury boxes and suites. |
