She was born on August 30, 1972 in San Diego, California. Cameron Diaz hit it big when she filmed "The Mask" with Jim Carrey in 1994 and it vaulted her career into high gear. After "The Mask", Cameron Diaz starred in "There's Something About Mary", in 1998, which helped propel her toward the top of the star list in Hollywood. Since that film, Cameron Diaz has starred in "Charlie's Angels" in 2000, "The Sweetest Thing" in 2002, "Shrek" 1 and 2, and has just completed work on "In Her Shoes".
