New on the acting scene, Tom Welling has quickly become very popular as Superman / Clark Kent on the hit show Smallville. He was born in New York City in April of 1977 and started off as a model. Tom Welling has been married to Jamie White since July of 2002. Even though he is now famous for his role as Clark Kent, Tom Welling originally turned down the part not once, but twice. He began to appear in movies in 2003 with a role in "Cheaper by the Dozen" and he is reprising that role in the sequel that is coming out before the end of the year. Tom Welling also performed in "The Fog", which is set to be released shortly in 2005.
