She moved to New York as a teenager to follow her goal of being an actress. "Dangerous Liaisons" was released in 1988 and Uma Thurman played the part of Cecile de Volanges. She followed it with "Henry and June" in 1990, which got more attention for it's NC-17 rating than the movie itself. "Pulp Fiction" was shown in 1994 and that film made her a star. Uma Thurman has
