Benjamin Franklin lived from 1706-1790. The pictures or photos above show Benjamin Franklin's accomplishments and his letter about making money. Although he grew up in Boston, Benjamin Franklin sought a change and ran away to Philadelphia when he was just 17 years old. Philadelphia is about 300 miles away from Boston. It was a long distance back in the early 1700's. It wasn't until 1732 that Franklin printed "Poor Richard's Almanack", which became a famous pamphlet that he printed every years for 25 years. It is what made Benjamin Franklin famous. He has many inventions, including the lightning rod, and he also got involved in Congress in the 1750's. Benjamin Franklin was a member of the Continental Congress and helped draft the Constitution.
