Gabe Pressman and Malcolm X Posters

Gabe Pressman covered major stories in the 1950's and 1960's and this poster with Malcolm X is one of the most famous from that time.  Gabe Pressman worked for WNBC and was interviewing Malcolm X, who was a spokesperson for the Nation of Islam.  Malcolm X became one of the most prominent black leaders in the 1950's.  He became one of the most active proponents for human rights.  While giving a speech on February 21, 1965, three men rushed the stage and killed him.  Malcolm X was just 39 years old.  A movie about his life was produced by Spike Lee in 1992.
