The term 'Metamorphosis' means a transformation by magic,
witchcraft, or sorcery. It is describes as a
remarkable change in appearance and you can see it in this
picture as the woman becomes a mermaid underwater. The
artist, Sheila Wolk, began her career as an art director for
a pharmaceutical company, and became an expert in drawing
the human form. She focused originally on a sports
theme and won awards as the Sports Artist of the year in
1987. She later moved more into the world of fantasy
and mystical pictures. |
