Michael Richards perfected this character on the Seinfeld TV show. It took years before viewers were told Kramer's first name, but eventually he conceded that it was Cosmo. Seinfeld ran from 1989-1998 and starred Jerry Seinfeld as a comedian living in New York City. Kramer's odd and disturbed friends, George, Jerry, and Elaine were the main characters. It was a "show about nothing", or so they claimed. They tackled such issues as being gay and friends with benefits. For his part, Kramer was the peculiar man that lived across the hall from Jerry. He would always make an entrance. One of Kramer's most memorable performance came on the episode in which he was golfing with Titleist balls into the ocean.
