collection of children's books that were first written in
the 1940's called Pippi Longstocking featured a nine year
old girl. The pigtails that the girl had were her
trademark and the books became a major motion picture.
The Pippi Longstocking t-shirt is shown here in long
sleeves. Five more books were created in 1969-71 and
were written in a number of languages to appeal to a wide
audience. The design of the Pippi Longstocking
t-shirts feature her image in a black and white design.
In the late 80's, the story received new life. The
New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking was another movie
and was released in 1988. It starred Tami Erin as
Pippi, Dennis Dugan, Eileen Brennan, and George DiCenzo. |
