Led Zeppelin was a British rock band that formed in the late 1960's. The members were Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bonham, and John Paul Jones. Their music was considered to be hard rock or heavy metal. The hit "Stairway to Heaven" is one of Led Zeppelin's most remembered songs and is considered by many to be the greatest rock song ever made. Some of Led Zeppelin's other hits were "Whole Lotta Love", and "Black Dog". They have sold more than 300 million albums and over 100 million in the United States alone.
The Led Zeppelin t-shirts show some classic album covers. The band stayed together throughout the 1970's and did not split until 1980. Led Zeppelin broke up after the death of their drummer, John Bonham, who died after a long alcohol binge. Bonham had four quadruple shots of vodka on top of 16 other vodka shots. He continued to drink that night and was found dead the following morning. He was only 32 years old. |
