The
leader of Venezuela is the toxic and always crazy Hugo
Rafael Chavez Frias. He has been in power in the tiny
South American country since 1999, when he won the
elections. He initially orchestrated a coup d'etat in
1992 to attempt to overthrow the government, but he had less
than 10% of the military loyal to him. These Boycott
Venezuela t-shirts are due to his threatening language
against the United States. Chaves is a camera whore
and is intent on thrusting himself into the international
spotlight, no matter how small and inconsequential his
nation is in the world community. Venezuelan law
mandates that he cannot serve longer than 12 years (2010),
but Chavez seems intent on staying in power much longer.
