The
senior Senator from Massachusetts, Edward (Ted) Kennedy, is
well known for being a drunk. In 1969, Ted Kennedy was
driving drunk with a girl on a small island off the coast of
Martha's Vineyard called Chappaquiddick. He drove off
a bridge and his passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne was killed.
These Chappaquiddick t-shirts poke fun at the incident in
the form of a triathlon. Ted Kennedy did not spend one
day in jail for this murder. Instead, he received a
suspended sentence of two months in jail for leaving the
scene of an accident. Wearing this Chappaquiddick
t-shirt could bring some needed attention to the old case.
Despite killing the young woman, Ted Kennedy has been
elected to the Senate in Massachusetts every time since.
This is proof that the voting public is stupid. He has
now served in the Senate for 44 years, but should have
served that long in prison. |
