39th President of the United States was James Earl Carter, a
Democrat from the State of Georgia. Jimmy Carter also
won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002 for his work trying to
bring peace and democracy to other nations of the world.
He served one term from 1977-1981. The quote on this
