If you asked a neo-conservative how you defined liberal, they would probably go on some rant about god and guns and flags. However, the real definition of a liberal as seen in the t-shirt here is nowhere near what nutjobs on the right believe. The front of the t-shirt proclaims that being a liberal is a good thing. The back of the shirt gives you the definition. Liberals are the ones who got women the right to vote, liberals are the group the got equal rights for minorities, and it will be liberals again who will fight to get fair treatment for gays and lesbians. Liberals stand up against traditional attitudes and are far more open-minded than their counterparts.
