The 2006 FIFA World Cup futbol championship was won by
Italy, as they beat France in the final with a 5-3 shootout
(1-1). The World Cup is played every four years and
Italy had not won since 1982. The Italian futbol team
has won the World Cup four times in total. They won in
1934, 1938, 1982, and now in 2006. After Italia won in
1982, they have been a force to be reckoned with, but
struggled for 24 years to win another title. That pain
was eased a week ago when the won and sent the entire
country into a celebration. The Italia futbol soccer
t-shirts above show some love for the country and for the
game. Ironically, the only futbol game Italy did not
win in the cup was against the United States, who they
played to a 1-1 draw. They won their other two games
