Founded
back in 1706 by Spanish pioneers, the city of Albuquerque
has ballooned in recent years to nearly 1 million strong.
The New Mexico town is home to Kirkland Air Force Base as
well as the University of New Mexico Lobos. The 2007
Albuquerque t-shirts give some props to those from the
hometown. Many travelers happened upon the city while
driving the famous Route 66, which went straight through the
town. It was later re-routed slightly.
'Happiness is Being in Albuquerque, NM' is how one t-shirt
reads. How could you not be happy in a city that has
such an amazing climate? Once in a while there will be
a huge blizzard, but for the most part, Albuquerque stays
fairly mild. |
