southern part of heaven is the nickname of this well known
college town of Chapel Hill. The University of North
Carolina dominates the area and conversation here as it is a
huge basketball powerhouse. The Chapel Hill t-shirts
show two distinct fashions for men or women. UNC has
over 27,000 undergraduate and graduate students in a town
with just under 50,000 people. The Chapel Hill
t-shirts above give photos within the letters of the
magnificent area. Unlike the rest of North Carolina,
this college town is notably liberal. Leading
conservatives have often voiced displeasure about Chapel
Hill. Former Senator Jesse Helms thought Chapel Hill
should be walled off from the rest of the state.
