Pictured are
two Charlotte t-shirts from the most populous city in the State of
North Carolina category. What is quickly becoming a banking
capital of the southeast, Charlotte is also known as 'Hornet's
Nest.' The Charlotte t-shirts show the sun.
The
Queen City and financial center of the south is the rapidly
expanding city of Charlotte. Nestled on the border
with South Carolina, this town is the world headquarters for
Bank of America and Wachovia Bank. The Charlotte
t-shirts feature a big, red heart. The city is also
nicknamed 'Hornet's Nest' because of the fierce fighting
that took place here during the American Revolution.
The British attempted occupation and the citizens of
Charlotte fought against it. The basketball team was
also called the Hornets before it moved to New Orleans.
The second Charlotte t-shirts feature bright colors and a
rising sun. Even though they lost the NBA Hornets,
they gained the Bobcats in 2004.
