Described as inner-city due to the extreme level of violent
crime, Compton, California is one of the most dangerous
places in the United States. The city south of Los
Angeles has a reputation for gang violence, numerous
murders, drugs, and ghettos. The Compton t-shirts on
the left show a harsh lettering that is necessary and
standard for the community. The city is 40% black, 17%
white, and Hispanics representing a majority of the

the city is like Hollywood, California. The city was
rated the most dangerous of cities with 75,000 - 100,000
people. The murder rate in Compton is eight times the
national average. Despite these facts, little has been
done by state officials to make the city safe. |
