The
Sunshine State and beneficiary of a huge migration south is
the State of Florida. With Jacksonville, Orlando,
Tampa, and Miami as anchor cities, the entire state is well
populated. The Florida t-shirts show why people move
here in the first place. It is a land of sun, great
weather, tropical beaches, and very little snow. The
Florida t-shirts to the left feature the ocean as an
attraction. There is a lot of snorkeling and scuba
diving down in the Keys and many travel down there for the
adventure. Florida was the site of much controversy in
2000 because of the presidential election. Votes were
counted, recounted, and sometimes not counted at all in the
aftermath of the election. In the end, Al Gore did not
win the state. |
