The
spring training facilities and parks of the Minnesota Twins
and the Boston Red Sox are right here in Fort Myers,
Florida. The City of Palms Park is where the Sox have
called their March home since 1992. However, the Fort
Myers t-shirts concentrate more on the sun coming off the
Gulf than the baseball teams. Hammond Stadium is where
the Twins play in South Fort Myers, Florida. That has
been their home since 1991. The two teams play each
other regularly because of the proximity to each other.
The second, more colorful Fort Myers t-shirts focus on a big
fish and the pristine blue waters of the area. When
the snowbirds come down, the city is jammed with cars and
traffic. However, in the off-season, it is clear
sailing for all the permanent folks. |
