the World, also known as Gilroy, California. It is an

Clara County is the location of the small community of
Gilroy. The California town is a big producer of
garlic and mushrooms and has an annual garlic festival.
You can take these Team Gilroy t-shirts to the festival as
you taste all the varieties they have to offer. The
all-Pro quarterback Jeff Garcia, currently with the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers, is from here. He could don the Gilroy
t-shirts that declare it his hometown. The city of
Gilroy is sixteen square miles, but much of that is
agricultural land. Recent real estate development has
caused a reduction in that open land, but it has been
gradual and not dramatic thus far.
