Situated at the confluence of Kentucky, Ohio, and West
Virginia is the small town of Huntington. Marshall
University is located here and the Thundering Herd play to
sold out arenas and stadiums. The Huntington t-shirts
focus on a vintage look, where the fade is apparent and on
purpose. Throughout the country and in Europe, many
cities share this exact name. Therefore, these
Huntington t-shirts don't have to follow the West Virginia
version. They can represent whatever you like.
However, in Huntington, West Virginia, the most famous event
to take place was also the most tragic. In 1970, a
plane carrying the Marshall University football team crashed
on its approach to the local airport. Everyone on
board was killed. The story was depicted in the movie
We Are Marshall in 2006. |
