are a couple Kenner t-shirts from our small towns within Jefferson
Parish, Louisiana. Part of the New Orleans area, the city of
Kenner runs along Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi. The
Kenner t-shirts speak of happiness and team.
Jefferson Parish was hit hard by Hurricane Katrina in 2005
and the city of Kenner suffered as well. The Louisiana
town sits on the edge of Lake Pontchartrain and is a close
suburb of New Orleans. The Kenner t-shirts bring hope
and determination to the city as it struggles to rebuild
both here and in New Orleans. A total of 70,000 people
lived here at the 2000 census, but it is unknown what the
population is today. The estimate of the Parish as a
whole is back up to 98% of the previous census. Many
have moved inland or out of state to find work. The
Team Kenner t-shirts also bring moral support and strength
to the region. Everybody needs to work together to
rebuild southern Louisiana.
