flourishing city is a major lettuce producer and was
previously known as Titusville back in the 1800's. The

primary sporting event that takes place in Kent each year is
National Hot Rod Association's (NHRA) drag racing nationals.
The 2.25 mile facility hosts the event and draws thousands
of spectators.
